Galatians 4:20 - Additional Comments
Paul doubts a mild scolding will work, so he writes with a strong tone. What a challenge he has before him, to try to turn their ways around simply through a letter (albeit, a divinely inspired letter!). Do you think it worked for them? Paul has his doubts.
I've heard it said that people don't change until the penalty of not changing exceeds the penalty of change. Do you agree or disagree? Are people that simple that most of us follow the path of least pain? Can't we make decisions because of truth and right? Look at your life - how do you make most of your decisions?
Can you make a decision now to allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you and enable you to make the right choices, regardless of how difficult is might seem? You can do it, because God has promised to enable us through His Spirit to do the right thing, to follow the right master.
