1 Corinthians 13:5 - Additional Comments

Love is not rude. ("unbecoming" - not appropriate conduct for one's position in life)
* Be polite! Be respectful! For wives, remember a man's greatest need is respect.
* ItO important to treat your children politely. Never be rude to them just because they are children.
* Don't ever call your spouse or children names.
* Never embarrass your children, especially in front of their friends.
Love is not self-seeking - spouses need time, kids need time. Date your kids.
* Parents must take personal time for themselves.
* Husbands, allow your wife down time, time for themselves away from kids. Go out of your way to help with the chores and kids.
* Wives, allow your husband to take time for himself. Cave Time and Sport/hobby time. Donhow up at the door when he comes home with the "to do" list.
* Remember - for a period of time we will have to sacrifice for our families.
Love is not easily angered; provoked - (exasperated)
* exasperated = to fill with rage.
* Usually when people react in anger (yelling, saying demeaning words, hitting) it's because they feel they've lost control and don't know what to do.
* Realize anger is a violation of your rights, and we need to give our rights up to God.
* Donet one thing ruin the whole evening! Donet upset over little things. Nothing makes a spouse feel more loved then when they know theymessed up and you're still loving toward them.
Love keeps no record of wrongs - Bringing up past mistakes means you havenruly forgiven that person.
* An UNFORGIVING spirit will KILL A RELATIONSHIP.
* Don't bring up past mistakes! Never use words like "you never" or "you always".
